Walker seeking applicants to fill Dane County bench vacancy

Gov. Scott Walker is searching for applicants for an appointment to the Dane County Circuit Court.

Walker announced Friday that he is looking for candidates to replace Judge John Markson, who is resigning June 2. Markson’s seat is up for election in April 2018, and the appointee Walker chooses would have the option to run in that election.

Those interested in applying must submit a cover letter, resume, two writing samples and a judicial application that can be found on www.walker.wi.gov by 5 p.m. May 5.
