A hearing is set for the reinstatement of a bankruptcy attorney’s law license, which was suspended for two years over 35 counts of misconduct that included holding a gun during a meeting with clients.

David Moss of Poulsbo, Wa., had practiced law in Wisconsin for three years, working out of Galesville before moving to Oregon. The alleged misconduct occurred between 2011 and when he closed his office in 2012. The Wisconsin Supreme Court suspended his license in 2014. A referee had recommended a nine-month suspension, but the justices doubled it.

Moss filed a petition in July of last year asking for his license to be reinstated.

A hearing before a referee is set for 9 a.m. April 9 at Halling & Cayo, 320 E. Buffalo St., Suite 700, Milwaukee. Interested parties may speak at the hearing.

Those with relevant information or those seeking it may contact the OLR’s counsel in the matter: Gregg Herman of Loeb & Herman in Milwaukee.
