An independent body of judges and other practitioners that suggests rules changes to the Wisconsin Supreme Court will meet Friday.
The Judicial Council will meet at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Room 328 NW of the state Capitol. The council will discuss its budget request, which includes asking lawmakers to have the Director State Courts take over administration of the council.
The council had voted at its meeting in June to ask for that change because of problems with the state’s new software for managing payroll and accounts payable.
The council will also discuss the two petitions for rules changes it has submitted for the high court’s consideration and other projects its committees have been working on over the summer.
