Marquette to play host to water conference

Marquette University Law School is holding a conference about water.

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett and Marc Edwards, a water-treatment expert, are among the speakers scheduled for “Pubic Policy and American Drinking Water,” a conference being held from 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at Marquette University Law School’s Eckstein Hall, 1215  W. Michigan St., Milwaukee.

The topics discussed are to include: ground-water supply, public perceptions of drinking-water contamination and water pricing and valuation.

The event is officially listed as sold-out. But those still interested in attending the conference can register online to be put on a waiting list by going to: http://law.marquette.edu/current-students/public-policy-and-american-drinking-water.
