WAUKESHA, Wis. (AP) — An Oconomowoc woman has pleaded not guilty to charges she fatally shot her husband and hid his body.

Amy Van Wagner pleaded not guilty Monday to first-degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse, both felonies. The judge denied a defense request to modify Van Wagner’s bail, and she remains jailed on $100,000 bond.

Van Wagner was arrested last month in the death of her husband, Stanley Van Wagner. His body was found in the basement of their home in May 2015. According to a criminal complaint, two shell casings were found in a first-floor office, along with blood and a hole in the wall. Investigators believe Van Wagner was killed upstairs and his body moved to the basement.

Amy Van Wagner is due back in court April 22.
