Termination of Parental Rights
2014AP2405; 2014AP2406 State of Wisconsin v. L.M.N.
L.M.N. appeals orders terminating her parental rights to her two daughters and challenges the denial of post-dispositional relief. L.M.N. argues that the circuit court’s entry of default judgment against her was improper for multiple reasons, that her trial counsel was ineffective, that she was denied the opportunity to meaningfully participate in the dispositional hearing in violation of her due process rights, and that she is entitled to a new trial in the interests of justice. For the reasons discussed below, I affirm and decline to remand for a new trial.
