WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. (AP) — A 23-year-old New Hampshire man has pleaded not guilty to charges in a July crash that severely injured two people on a motorcycle.
The Valley News reports Gustavo Chang was arraigned Tuesday on a charge of gross negligence. He was released without bail.
Authorities say Chang’s car crossed the center line on a Bethel road on July 14 and collided with a Wisconsin couple’s Harley Davidson. The motorcycle’s driver lost his foot and his wife’s left leg was severed in the crash.
Chang didn’t return a message seeking comment.
A 66-year-old volunteer firefighter responding to the wreck was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
