MILWAUKEE (AP) — A man must serve more than 18 years in prison following his conviction for shooting a gas station clerk during a 2013 holdup.
Authorities say Daunte Nichols and five others were members of a group that committed at least 20 robberies in the Milwaukee area from December 2013 to May 2014.
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports Nichols was found guilty on several charges, including armed robbery.
The five others all have been sentenced to prison, with terms ranging from five years and 10 months to nine years.
The robberies were investigated by local and federal authorities.
