TWO RIVERS, Wis. (AP) — Bail has been set at $250,000 cash for a Two Rivers man accused of fatally stabbing his stepson.

Police say 34-year-old Koyoko Perry was stabbed during a fight early Sunday in Two Rivers. Perry tried to drive away from the crime scene, but crashed into two other vehicles in a driveway.

Fifty-four-year-old Jesse Moreno Jr. appeared in Manitowoc County Circuit Court on Monday by video from jail. Defense attorney Anthony Lambrecht argued for $50,000 cash bail.

WOMT reports Moreno was ordered to have no contact with his wife, the victim’s mother, or two witnesses to the crime.

An autopsy found Perry died from a single sharp force injury to his upper left chest that injured a major blood vessel above his heart.

Manitowoc County District Attorney Jacalyn LaBre anticipates filing a charge of first-degree intentional homicide against Moreno.
