Four Milwaukee-area attorneys were appointed to be part-time commissioners for the city’s municipal court.

The new commissioners are:

  • Peter Arnold, a Wauwatosa attorney.
  • Eloisa De León, an attorney with Christopher & De León Law Office
  • Edward Ehrlich, a retired assistant city attorney
  • Robert Webb, a Milwaukee attorney

The commissioners were appointed by Judge Phillip Chavez, who presides over the city’s municipal court. They will handle cases involving municipal ordinance violations where a defendant is in custody, as well as arraignments for building and zoning cases. They also conduct pre-trial hearings.

Their terms start May 1 and will end April 30, 2015, though they can be reappointed. Commissioners work between 300 and 600 hours a year and make $46.95 an hour.
