BROOKFIELD, Wis. (AP) — A New Berlin woman and a Milwaukee man have been sentenced to prison in the murder of a Brookfield businessman last year.
Forty-nine-year-old Lynn Hajny was sentenced Tuesday to 15 years in prison, followed by five years extended supervision. Hajny was convicted of felony murder in the death of businessman John Aegerter.
Forty-three-year-old Tommy Douyette was sentenced to 30 years in prison followed by 20 years extended supervision. He was convicted of first-degree reckless homicide.
Court records say Hajny had asked Douyette to hurt Aegerter because she alleged the businessman owed money to her husband.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports the two had gone to Aegerter’s home in June 2011 to confront him. The next day, police found his body in his garage. He had been beaten and bound.
