Criminal Procedure — ineffective assistance

Ralph S. Stewart appeals from a judgment convicting him of possession of a firearm by a felon after a jury trial, and from an order denying his postconviction motion for a new trial based on ineffective assistance of counsel. Because we agree with Stewart that his trial counsel was ineffective, we reverse the judgment of conviction and remand for a new trial. Not recommended for publication in the official reports.
