Brookfield woman files first lawsuit over Salmonella outbreak

A Brookfield woman has filed the first lawsuit over a Salmonella outbreak that health officials have linked to raw tuna. She filed the lawsuit Wednesday in California.

The woman says she became sick after eating sushi on Valentine’s Day and went to the emergency room.

More than 58,000 pounds of frozen raw yellowfin tuna from a California company, Moon Marine, are being recalled.

There are 140 cases reported cases nationwide of Salmonella Bareilly, including 14 in Wisconsin, according to reports.
