BELOIT, Wis. (AP) — Prosecutors say a car theft motivated a fatal shooting in Beloit.
According to a criminal complaint, 28-year-old Evans Wiggins of shooting Shawn Bell numerous times Aug. 1 after the 25-year-old victim took off in Wiggins’ luxury car. It says Wiggins jumped in another vehicle and searched for Bell, eventually finding him.
Wiggins is charged with first-degree intentional homicide. The Beloit Daily News says he’s being held on $250,000 cash bond and has a court appearance Wednesday.
