MILWAUKEE (AP) — A Milwaukee grandmother is charged with reckless homicide in the drug death of her 10-month-old grandson.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County, 46-year-old Lisa Humphrey was babysitting her grandson and other children last April and fed the infant a bottle with morphine and oxycodone.
The Journal Sentinel reports Humphrey allegedly told police she didn’t know how the drugs got in the baby bottle. The body of Royality Sanders was found April 28, the morning after the infant shared a mattress with Humphrey and his 2-year-old sister.
