MILWAUKEE (AP) — Desmond Dejuan Laster has been sentenced to four life terms with no chance for parole in the killings of two boys, their mom and a female accomplice.
The 22-year-old was convicted in March of four counts of being party to first-degree intentional homicide.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports Laster made no statement Friday before Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Jeffrey Conen.
Laster and Anthony Barnes were accused of helping Brittney Robertson confront Rachel Thompson in February 2010. Prosecutors say Robertson was jealous of Thompson, stabbed her and helped Laster suffocate Thompson’s 3- and 4-year-old sons.
Robertson and Laster then allegedly set Thompson’s apartment ablaze before taking Thompson’s 6-week-old son. Prosecutors say Robertson left him outside a church before Barnes killed her at Laster’s direction.
Barnes faces sentencing July 18.
