Milwaukee Archbishop Jerome Listecki informed parishioners in a letter that the Rev. Michael Nowak of Kenosha has been placed on administrative leave and will be restricted from ministry pending an investigation.

Listecki said the archdiocese received a report alleging an inappropriate telephone conversation between Nowak and a minor female which alleged included sexually explicit language. No physical contact was reported.

Nowak is pastor of St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church in Kenosha. Listecki’s letter said the girl’s parents contacted Kenosha police.
