MILWAUKEE (AP) — An 18-year-old Brookfield woman has been charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle in the death of a Milwaukee man who had rushed to the aid of a pedestrian.
The victim was 30-year-old Mark Grabowski, one of several people helping a pedestrian who had been knocked down in the street around 2 a.m. March 11.
That’s when prosecutors claim Jasmine N. Lysoualong struck Grabowski and another pedestrian. Lysoualong was on her way home from a bar.
She allegedly told police she had two beers at the bar and she didn’t realize she had struck anyone until told by police. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports court documents show her blood-alcohol level was measured at 0.09 two hours after Grabowski was struck.
