APPLETON, Wis. (AP) — An Outagamie County judge has delayed a trial until the end of the NBA season because a possible witness is Denver Nuggets head coach George Karl.

Lawyers said Thursday Karl could testify in the trial of Aaron Marheine, who is charged with theft and criminal damage to property.

The 34-year-old Marheine was an owner of the now-closed Pulse nightclub in Appleton.

Karl, formerly coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, owns the building where he says commercial appliances and other items are missing. According to the complaint, property damage totaled more than $62,000.

Marheine said he was allowed to sell the items to make up for money spent on building improvements.

The trial was to begin Wednesday. The judge moved it to June 25.
