It’s the final weekend of Major League Baseball’s regular season and there are still a few playoff positions to be decided.
But for those still vying for a postseason berth, think twice before lighting that victory cigar in a city which has a smoking ban in place, such as Cincinnati.

Other playoff bound teams such as the Yankees and Twins play in states that have banned smoking in bars, restaurants and non-hospitality workplaces, whereas Texas, home of the Rangers, does not have a statewide ban and Philadelphia, home of the Phillies, has an exemption for bars.
As for our Brewers, they will have to wait another year to decide whether or not to light a Macanudo in the clubhouse to celebrate and violate the state’s smoking ban.
