Ryan Kromholz & Manion has added a fourth partner.

Attorney Dan Johnson has been an associate with the firm for 10 years. He is a graduate of Marquette Law School.

Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP has added Kelly Kuglitsch as an associate in the Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice Group.

Kuglitsch joins the firm from Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek SC, where she was an employee benefits and HR associate in Milwaukee. Kuglitsch earned her J.D., cum laude, from DePaul University College of Law.

The law firm of Godfrey & Kahn, S.C. announced the addition of Carl J. Artman as shareholder in its Indian Nations and Environmental & Energy Practice Groups.

Artman received his J.D. degree from Washington University School of Law.

Foley & Lardner LLP has developed a Financial Crisis Response Team to advise corporations, financial service providers and individuals on the legislative and regulatory actions being taken in response to the financial crisis and the implications those actions hold.

The Financial Crisis Response team is comprised of senior attorneys with experience in a broad range of practices, including securities and commodities, corporate, public policy, tax, financial, real estate, trusts and bankruptcy. Heading up the team is Foley partner Jay Rothman, who is chair of the firm’s Transactional & Securities Practice. Team member, Patricia Lane is a member of the firm’s Finance & Financial Institutions Practice, with extensive experience negotiating liquidity and credit enhancement measures.

Axley Brynelson, LLP announced the recent hire of Attorney Patrick Farley to work in its Government Relations practice group.

Prior to joining Axley, Farley held several appointed positions under the Doyle administration.

Farley is joining Attorney Stan Davis and Senior Government Relations Advisor Jerry Deschane in Axley's bi-partisan Government Affairs group. Farley will be located at the firm’s new Brookfield office located at 200 South Executive Drive, Suite 101.

Stafford Rosenbaum LLP announced that the American Bar Association has named the firm a Law Office Climate Challenge Partner.

The ABA Section of Environment, Energy and Resources and the EPA designed the Law Office Climate Challenge program to encourage law offices to take specific steps to conserve energy and resources, as well as reduce emissions of greenhouse gases. To participate in the ABA-EPA Law Office Climate Challenge, Stafford Rosenbaum adopted prescribed best practices for office paper management in the firm's Madison and Metro Milwaukee offices, including reducing paper use and recycling at least 90 percent of discarded mixed paper.

The Techmeier Law Firm S.C. has relocated its office from its previous location at The Chase Tower in downtown Milwaukee to The Renaissance Building located in Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward.

Their new office is located at 309 North Water Street, Suite 160, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202.

Quarles & Brady LLP announced that Katherine Maloney Perhach, a partner with the firm who focuses her practice on Commercial Litigation, was honored by the Association for Women Lawyers, Milwaukee, at the organization’s annual meeting. Perhach was the recipient of the association’s Pro Bono Award for her work as the Firm Coordinator for the Quarles & Brady Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic at the Spanish Center and at the Task Force on Family Violence Restraining Order Clinic.

Perhach received her law degree from Marquette University.

The firm also announced that Michael Ostermeyer, a partner with the firm, has been honored with the 2008 Distinguished Service Award from his alma mater, Luther College.

The award was presented to Ostermeyer in October at the College’s annual Distinguished Service Awards dinner held in conjunction with its homecoming celebration. Ostermeyer was one of 17 alumni from across the nation recognized. Ostermeyer is a 1983 graduate of Luther College.
