Milwaukee teen sentenced for crash that hurt 2 officers

Listen to this articleMILWAUKEE (AP) — A 19-year-old Milwaukee man will spend nearly 10 months in prison for a hit-and-run crash that injured two police officers last year.
Ladonesty Fowlkes admitted to crashing into a van, which struck two officers on the sidewalk, according to WTMJ TV. He apologized before his sentencing Monday and asked a judge to spare him from jail time.
But Judge Michelle Ackerman-Havas told the teen he should’ve stayed at the scene of the accident and that if he had, Fowlkes “might not be in court.”
