GREEN LAKE, Wis. (AP) — A Berlin man accused of killing his estranged wife and her boyfriend has been bound over for trial.
Thirty-three-year-old Nicholas Tuinstra appeared in Green Lake County Court on Tuesday for a preliminary hearing. The court found probable cause and bound him over for trial.
Tuinstra faces two counts of first-degree intentional homicide in the September shooting deaths of Melissa Tuinstra and Justin Daniels, both 28. The victims were shot multiple times at Melissa Tuinstra’s apartment in downtown Berlin.
According to the criminal complaint, officers located 14 9-millimeter casings at the scene.
WBAY-TV reports online court records don’t indicate a date for Tuinstra’s next court hearing.
