US attorney collects $3.7 million in 2014 cases

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The U.S. attorney’s office in Madison says it collected about $3.7 million in criminal and civil actions during the 2014 federal fiscal year.

U.S. Attorney John Vaudreuil said his office collected about $1.4 million in criminal cases and about $2.3 million in civil actions. The offices also collected an additional $11,800 in criminal cases it pursued jointly with other U.S. attorney’s offices and components of the U.S. Justice Department.

Vaudreuil said the federal agency collected $24.7 billion in civil and criminal actions during the fiscal year that ended Sept. 30.
