MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A federal appeals court has ordered the release of more documents related to the investigation into Gov. Scott Walker’s 2012 recall campaign and a host of conservative groups.
However, it wasn’t clear from the order by the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Thursday whether any of the documents were part of a batch mistakenly released on Friday.
The court, in its order, said before anything is made public attorneys for the affected parties will have to review them to ensure that nothing gets released that is supposed to remain sealed.
The court also ordered that a number of other documents remain private, including ones that supposedly would reveal the identities of two unknown people involved with the investigation.
No charges have been filed against Walker or anyone else.
