MADISON (AP) — A federal appeals court has apparently opted to hold off on releasing more documents linked to a secret investigation into Gov. Scott Walker’s campaign.

Prosecutors have been looking into whether Walker’s campaign illegally coordinated with conservative groups during the 2012 recall. A federal judge halted the probe after one of the groups, Wisconsin Club for Growth, argued the investigation violates its rights.

The 7th Circuit Court of Appeals planned to release 34 sealed documents in the case Tuesday at media advocates’ request. But Wisconsin Club for Growth, two unnamed parties and prosecutors filed motions Monday seeking to keep the documents secret.

The court hadn’t responded or released any documents by Tuesday afternoon. The media advocates’ attorney says he thinks the court will allow him to respond to Monday’s motions.
