GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — A former Green Bay grade-school teacher has pleaded not guilty to charges that he sexually assaulted two students.
Fifty-eight-year-old Jer Lovaj of Oconto pleaded not guilty Monday to two counts of first-degree child sexual assault in one case. He also pleaded not guilty to a charge of repeated sexual assault of a child in another case.
Prosecutors contend Lovaj inappropriately touched two students at Anne Sullivan School on Green Bay’s east side, where he taught English as a second language between October 2013 and February 2014.
The Green Bay Area Public School District says Lovaj is no longer employed with the district.
Press-Gazette Media reports he is due back in court on Aug. 18.
