FOND DU LAC, Wis. (AP) — Bond has been set at $2.3 million for a rural Fond du Lac man accused of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl and weapons charges.
The 40-year-old man appeared in Fond du Lac County Court on Tuesday. He’s charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault and three other felony charges in one case and 13 counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm in another.
KFIZ-AM reports the charges stem from a search of the man’s home last weekend.
Judge Robert Wirtz set bond at $2 million in one case and $350,000 in another.
The man remains in jail. Online court records do not list a defense attorney. A preliminary hearing is set for Jan. 24.
The Associated Press is not naming the man to avoid identifying the girl.
