MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A solider accused of helping her husband hide his half-brother’s corpse has apparently reached a plea deal with prosecutors.

Shannon Remus faces one count of being party to hiding a corpse in the death of Matthew Graville last year. Detectives believe Remus’ husband, Jeffrey Vogelsberg, beat Graville to death in the Mazomanie rental home they shared and buried the body in the woods. They say Vogelsberg took Remus to the grave and she agreed to keep quiet.

Remus, a military police officer stationed in Washington state, waived extradition to Wisconsin in February.

Remus has a combination plea-sentencing hearing scheduled for Wednesday. Her attorney declined to comment. Assistant District Attorney Robert Kaiser didn’t immediately return a message.

Vogelsberg is set to stand trial in October.
