The fifth, sixth and seventh floors of the Milwaukee County Courthouse will reopen Monday.
Criminal, family and small claims cases will resume then, according to a news release, as will jury trials.
The other floors of the courthouse have not yet been cleaned following a weekend electrical fire in the courthouse’s basement.
Information on courtroom assignments or case filings is available in Room 117 of the Safety Building. Intake court and preliminary hearings are being held in the Criminal Justice Facility. Wedding licenses are available in Room 105 of City Campus, 2711 W. Wells St., Milwaukee, according to the release.
The register of deeds is processing electronically submitted documents but cannot provide copies of birth, death or marriage records. Those records are available through the state’s vital records office in Madison or through the cities of Milwaukee and West Allis.
Child support services will be provided from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Marcia P. Coggs Building, 1220 W. Vliet St., Milwaukee.
