MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The two candidates for Wisconsin Supreme Court are scheduled to appear together at a meeting of the Madison rotary.
Incumbent Justice Pat Roggensack and Marquette University law professor Ed Fallone are both slated to appear at the rotary’s Wednesday meeting.
Roggensack is vying for a second 10-year term on the state’s highest court. She faces Fallone in the April 2 election.
Roggensack has based her campaign around her experience as a judge, arguing that Fallone’s experience as a private practice attorney and professor doesn’t match hers.
Fallone said the current Supreme Court is dysfunctional and replacing Roggensack would help bring more civility to the court.
The race is officially nonpartisan, although conservatives generally support Roggensack and Democratic groups are backing Fallone.
