RACINE, Wis. (AP) — Lawyers involved in the sexual assault case against Wisconsin billionaire Curt Johnson will argue before the Wisconsin Supreme Court in February.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice filed an appeal with the state’s highest court in May. The appeal involves whether the alleged victim may testify in court without first agreeing to release her medical records for review. The girl’s attorney has said neither the girl nor her mother want to allow her private medical records to be released.
The 57-year-old heir to the Johnson family household products fortune was charged in March 2011 with repeated sexual assault of the same child for allegedly molesting a teenage girl.
Defense attorney Michael Hart tells The Journal Times oral arguments are set for Feb. 25.
