WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (AP) — A Wood County judge has set a $5 million cash bond for a man suspected of killing his former girlfriend.

Police in Marshfield say 20-year-old Gabriel Luis Campos is a suspect in the death of 18-year-old Maisie McCullough. The couple’s 2-year-old son was with Campos when he turned himself into authorities on Saturday.

McCullough was found dead at her home Friday night. An autopsy shows she was stabbed in the back and her throat cut.

Circuit Judge Nicholas Brazeau said Campos — also known as Derek Michael Olson — is accused of first-degree intentional homicide. WAOW-TV reports official charges have not been filed yet.

Marshfield Police Chief Gary Jepsen told the Marshfield News-Herald there are no other suspects.
