APPLETON, Wis. (AP) — A Wisconsin prosecutor has dropped charges against a woman accused of trying to hire a man to beat up her domestic partner who was later killed.

Outagamie County District Attorney Carrie Schneider dropped charges last week against 52-year-old Dianna Siveny.

Siveny and her 32-year-old daughter, Kandi Siveny, were accused of offering money to a Minnesota man and bringing him to Appleton in 2006 to beat Lara Plamann. The attack wasn’t carried out.

A year later, Plamann was found dead of a gunshot wound to the head in a shed at the Greenville home she shared with Dianna Siveny. No charges have been filed in Plamann’s death.

The Post-Crescent reports the prosecutor dropped soliciting battery charges against Dianna Siveny after a judge ordered documents from the homicide investigation be provided to her attorney. Similar charges against Kandi Siveny were dismissed last August.

Dianna Siveny has denied offering anyone money to harm Plamann.
