MEQUON, Wis. (AP) — An argument over $5 in gas money may have led a 20-year-old man to allegedly kill his parents in a Milwaukee suburb, according to a complaint.
Dennis Markov was charged Thursday with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide in the shooting deaths of his parents, 45-year-old Victor and 39-year-old Larissa Markov.
Police found their bodies Tuesday in the garage of their Mequon home and arrested the son.
According to the complaint, Dennis Markov told police he had asked his father for $5 in gas money. When his father refused, the two got into an argument. The son then allegedly got a rifle and shot his father.
When his mother returned from errands, Markov allegedly shot her.
The Journal Sentinel reports bail was set at $1 million.
