T.J. Estabrook, an attorney and certified public accountant, recently joined the Milwaukee law firm of O’Neil, Cannon, Hollman, DeJong S.C. Estabrook works with clients on the tax and corporate law aspects of mergers and acquisitions. His experience includes representation of clients in connection with tax-free reorganizations, taxable stock and asset sales and divestiture transactions.

Stafford Rosenbaum LLP announced that two attorneys have joined the firm.
Elisabeth “Lis” Howard has joined Stafford Rosenbaum LLP as an associate in the firm’s Madison office. Her practice focuses on business and municipal law. She received her J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 2008.
Susan Allen has joined the firm as an associate in the firm’s Metro Milwaukee office. Her practice is focused in the areas of products liability and commercial litigation. She received her J.D. from Marquette University, cum laude, in 2006.

Employees of the law firm of Murphy Desmond S.C. in Madison donated over $500 worth of school supplies for low-income students at schools in the following districts: Boscobel School District, Iowa-Grant School District, Madison Metropolitan School District (Lindbergh Elementary) and Mineral Point School District.
Attorney Erin Ogden coordinated the project and delivered the supplies to each district based on need.
The firm’s donations exceeded Ogden's expectations for a pilot program. She plans to expand the program next year by partnering with other organizations and increasing the number of donation sites.

Fred Gants, a Madison-based attorney with Quarles & Brady LLP, has been appointed to serve on a committee that will recommend candidates for the clerk of court position in the Western District of Wisconsin.
Gants, who practices in the area of labor and employment law and is the Madison office coordinator for the Firm’s national labor and employment practice group, is one of six individuals who will serve on the committee. He earned a law degree from the University of Chicago.

Retired Milwaukee attorney Len Zubrensky has written a book entitled “Let the High Jinks Begin.”
Zubrensky’s book is a political memoir filled with stories about his political relationships.
Zubrensky will have a talk and book signing at Schwartz Bookshop in Shorewood, 4093 N. Oakland Ave. on Oct. 14 at 7:00 p.m.

The American Board of Trial Advocates has admitted to membership Frank T. Crivello II, of Warshafsky, Rotter, Tarnoff & Bloch, S.C., Milwaukee. He is one of only 60 Wisconsin members.

The law firm of Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek S.C. announced the addition of four associate attorneys to its Milwaukee office.
Jennifer Jin is a member of the State and Local Tax Practice. Jin received her law degree from Notre Dame Law School.
Philip R. Koutnik is a member of the Corporate Practice. Koutnik earned his law degree, cum laude, from Marquette University Law School.
Kristina Lemanski is a member of the Litigation Practice. She received her law degree from Northwestern University School of Law.
Robert L. Staude is a member of the Real Estate Practice. Staude received his law degree from Notre Dame Law School.
The firm also announced that it has expanded its real estate practice in Madison with the addition of attorney Brian D. Anderson.
Anderson concentrates his practice on commercial real estate acquisition, construction, disposition, finance, development and leasing. He received his law degree from University of Maryland School of Law with a certificate in Environmental law.
The firm also announced that it has expanded its intellectual property practice with the addition of attorney Julie Zavoral. Zavoral will practice in both Milwaukee and Madison.
Zavoral will counsel clients with respect to obtaining and enforcing intellectual property rights. She received her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Foley & Lardner LLP announced that its partners, associates and staff will add an estimated $10,000 to its regular-season donation of more than $125,000 to the Hunger Task Force through the Milwaukee office’s K’s for a Cause partnership with the Milwaukee Brewers. A check presentation to the Hunger Task Force took place prior to the Brewers’ game against the Chicago Cubs on Sept. 27, 2008 at Miller Park.
Once the Brewers officially clinched a post-season berth, Foley committed to extend the K’s for a Cause campaign through the playoffs, adding to the Hunger Task Force’s largest monetary donation of the year. In addition to a per-strikeout commitment, Foley will raise additional dollars for the Hunger Task Force through ticket auctions and donations that will enable Foley’s employees to wear their favorite Brewers attire during the work day.
K’s for a Cause is a four-year partnership between Foley and the Brewers that began in March and will benefit a different local charity each season.
This year, Brewers pitcher Eric Gagne matched Foley’s contribution with an additional $25 per strikeout. Gagne’s donation is being made through Brewers Charities, the official charity of the Milwaukee Brewers, with an earmark for the Hunger Task Force.
The firm also announced that the firm received a 100 percent rating in the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation’s 2009 Corporate Equality Index and Best Places to Work Survey. The 2009 HRC survey marks the second consecutive year that Foley has been awarded a perfect rating in the foundation’s annual report.

John T. Podbielski, Jr. has opened the Podbielski Law Group, Ltd., Franklin Corporate Centre, 9809 S. Franklin Dr., Suite 104, Franklin. The firm specializes in foreclosures, evictions, replevins, subrogation and debt collection.
