Listen to this article

Julio G. appeals from the order terminating his parental rights to his daughter, Glamaris G., following a bench trial and dispositional hearing. He primarily argues that the trial court erred in finding that he had not established good cause for failing to visit Glamaris; thus, he challenges the court’s conclusion that he abandoned Glamaris, under Wis. Stat. sec. 48.415(1)(a). Julio also contends that even if this court upholds one or more of the trial court’s grounds for termination, a new dispositional hearing should be ordered.

This court rejects Julio’s arguments and, therefore, affirms.
