TPR; due process; appearance by telephone
Timothy M. appeals from an order of the circuit court terminating his parental rights (TPR). As Timothy was incarcerated in federal prison in Chicago when the TPR petition was filed, the circuit court made accommodations to have Timothy participate in all the proceedings via a telephone setup. Timothy argues that his appearance by telephone violated his due process rights by not allowing him to meaningfully participate in the TPR proceedings. As his argument is not supported by the facts in the record or case law, we affirm the circuit court’s order. This opinion will not be published.
