A public hearing has been scheduled to consider the possible reinstatement of a northern Wisconsin lawyer who was suspended for using trust account money to pay for personal expenses.
The Wisconsin Supreme Court suspended Thomas Mulligan’s license in October of last year for using more than $9,000 of his clients’ money held in his trust account to pay for personal expenses between 2007 and 2011.
Mulligan’s license was suspended for nine months. He petitioned the justices to reinstate his license in July.
The hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Feb. 8 in the Milan Board Room of the Holiday Inn – South, 4751 Ayres Court in Eau Claire. Interested parties are invited to appear or speak on behalf of or in opposition of his reinstatement.
