Who’s Doing What: Firms name new shareholders, associates

mmMario Mendoza and William Morgan were named shareholders at Murphy Desmond SC, Madison.

Mendoza’s legal practice focuses on assisting clients in business and real estate matters, family law, and litigation. He earned his law degree in 1996 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Morgan represents both public and private employers, focusing on employment and personnel related matters, including discrimination claims and administrative issues. Morgan earned his law degree in 1992 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

bgjRegina Butler joined Ruder Ware LLSC’s Eau Claire team. Butler will work closely with individuals and families to design plans for the disposition of their assets, including drafting wills, trusts and other planning documents as well as formation of entities for estate planning and business purposes, asset protection, gifting and transfers of assets.

Butler earned her law degree in 2010 from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Anne Carroll, Holly Courtney, Serene Sahar, Tanya Salman and Timothy Teicher joined Michael Best & Friedrich LLP as associates.

Carroll joined the Milwaukee office in the firm’s employment relations practice group. She earned her law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School.

Courtney joined the Madison office in the firm’s employment relations practice group. She earned her law degree from Marquette University Law School.

Sahar joined the Milwaukee office in the firm’s intellectual property practice group. She earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Salman joined the Madison office in the litigation practice group. She earned her law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

Teicher joined the Milwaukee office in the firm’s intellectual property practice group. He earned his law degree from the University of Minnesota Law School.

Joshua Gimbel joined Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin and Brown LLP, Milwaukee. Formerly a partner at Michael, Best & Friedrich, Gimbel’s practice focuses on commercial and corporate litigation, as well as land use and zoning, real estate and municipal law. He earned his law degree in 1987 from the University of Wisconsin Law School. He is the son of Frank Gimbel, who founded Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin and Brown in 1968.

Jodi Jensen joined Godfrey & Kahn SC’s political law practice group as an administrative and regulatory attorney. She will primarily work out of the firm’s Madison office. Jensen focuses her practice on helping clients navigate and comply with campaign finance, ethics and lobbying laws. She earned law degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School.

AWARDS & HONORS

Denise Greathouse of Michael Best & Friedrich LLP was included in Lawyers of Color Inc.’s “2013 Lawyers of Color Hot List.” The list recognizes early- to mid-career minority attorneys under the age of 40 for their accomplishments and activity in legal pipeline initiatives. The 2013 honorees were chosen by a selection committee based on nominations, bar publications and legal blogs.

Greathouse is an attorney in Michael Best’s Chicago and Waukesha offices and a member of the labor and employment relations practice group. She earned her law degree in 2005 from Marquette University Law School.
