Amalia Todryk of Quarles & Brady LLP, Milwaukee, was designated chairman of the estate & trust section of the Milwaukee Bar Association. She will take over in September and complete her term in June 2014.
She is a member of the firm’s trusts and estates group. Her practice focuses on estate planning and wealth preservation strategies for individuals, small business owners and professionals. She earned her law degree from Marquette University Law School.
• The American Health Lawyers Association appointed C. Wade Harrison of Godfrey & Kahn SC as vice-chairman of its labor and employment practice group. Thomas Shorter, also of Godfrey & Kahn, was appointed to the AHLA’s Dispute Resolution Council.
• Quarles & Brady LLP announced that 24 of its partners completed a business school Partner Development Program and received certificates in executive management. Quarles collaborated with the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame to develop a customized executive education program for its partners. Over the course of nine months, 24 partners participated in a variety of business, organizational development and leadership courses.

Scott Watson and Theodore Yi.
• Jennifer Devitt joined Wangard Partners Inc., Milwaukee, as corporate counsel. Devitt will be responsible for managing a multitude of legal tasks related to real estate contracts, leases, development agreements, finance, letters of credit, promissory notes and recourse issues. She earned her law degree from Washington University, St. Louis.
