State Rep. Hintz pays fine for sexual misconduct

APPLETON, Wis. (AP) — A state lawmaker has pleaded no contest to sexual misconduct and has paid a fine of $2,032.

Appleton police cited Rep. Gordon Hintz Feb. 10 as a result of its ongoing investigation of Heavenly Touch Massage Parlor. Investigators searched the business and a nearby residence Jan. 28 after receiving a tip about prostitution.

The 37-year-old Oshkosh Democrat says he made “a bad decision’ that “was out of character.” The Appleton Post-Crescent says Hintz apologized for disappointing his family, friends and community.
