More charges in HIV sexual assault case

WAUSAU, Wis. (AP) — A man accused of sexually assaulting a girl while knowing he was HIV positive is facing additional charges in Marathon County.

Thirty-five-year-old Jimmy Garcia of Rothschild is charged with four counts of recklessly endangering safety. He was charged in April with sexual assault of a child.

A 15-year-old girl told police she twice had unprotected sex with Garcia at his apartment while she was babysitting a child in another apartment in the building.

The Wausau Daily Herald says Garcia is being held in the Marathon County Jail on $50,000 bond. He has a court appearance July 21.
