Monte E. Weiss is president and managing partner of Weiss Law Office, S.C., where he has practiced law for 35 years.
Weiss considers his greatest career accomplishment to be arguing cases before the Wisconsin Supreme Court that have helped shape and define insurance law throughout the state. He describes it as humbling and an honor to cite those decisions in cases he handles today, reflecting on the role he has played in developing Wisconsin’s body of insurance law.
Weiss’s leadership philosophy centers on surrounding himself with people who have their own strengths and talents and leaning into what they bring to the table to make himself the best and most successful attorney he can be.
A long-time member of WDC, Weiss has served as its past president and as the long-time chair of its amicus curiae committee. He also founded the organization’s Insurance Law Committee, which now partners with the State Bar of Wisconsin to present the “We’ve Got You Covered” seminar, expanding access to insurance law education for practitioners across the state. Outside of his professional affiliations, Weiss looks for opportunities to connect with fellow Jeep enthusiasts and has participated in several Jeep Jamborees across the country.
