Larri Broomfield is a shareholder and former chair of Reinhart’s Health Care Practice, a member of its Corporate Law Practice and a former member of the firm’s Board of Directors. He has also served on for-profit and nonprofit boards and advisory groups.

Broomfield has more than 35 years of experience in business transactions with a focus in the health care and adjacent industries. He counsels service and manufacturing businesses, including health care organizations and software as a service (SaaS) businesses.

He regularly advises clients on a wide range of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, complex commercial contracts and licensing. He also helps clients structure relationships among their owners.

Broomfield frequently shares his experience and expertise through speaking engagements with the business community, health care professionals and financial professionals. He also writes articles on emerging law and contractual issues in business, health and law journals.

Mark Budzinski is a partner at Baker Sterchi Cowden & Rice with 25 years of experience as an attorney. Over the course of his career, Budzinski credits his greatest accomplishment to building and maintaining a strong core team — including a long-time assistant, paralegals, partners and associate attorneys — whose collective efforts have sustained a high level of success amid evolving challenges in the legal landscape.

Budzinski believes most trials are won or lost before attorneys ever enter the courtroom, and that thorough preparation prior to trial is the primary factor in achieving favorable outcomes.

He has been selected for fellowship in the American College of Trial Lawyers, the American Board of Trial Advocates and the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel. Outside the legal profession, he is a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Sarah E. Coyne is a partner at Quarles & Brady, LLP with 30 years of experience as an attorney. She focuses her practice on healthcare law, with a particular emphasis on rural hospital work. Among her greatest career accomplishments is her ongoing collaboration with the Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative and its member hospitals, through which she has worked to develop practical solutions to the complex regulatory challenges facing rural healthcare.

Coyne describes herself as a consensus builder and a teacher. She approaches leadership by engaging others in finding clear, practical and reasonable solutions, explaining her thought process and identifying legal barriers as a way to motivate groups toward success.

She serves on the board of the HIPAA Collaborative of Wisconsin, a role she has held for two decades, and is involved with the Wisconsin Hospital Association, the Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative, the Illinois Critical Access Hospital Network, the Arizona Rural Hospital Association and the American Health Lawyers Association. She has also served as an adjunct professor teaching health law at the University of Wisconsin Law School for more than a decade.

A senior partner at Axley, Guy DuBeau’s healthcare practice focuses on the defense of alleged medical negligence claims. He has tried approximately 50 medical malpractice cases to verdict across Wisconsin.

DuBeau has represented healthcare providers before the Wisconsin Supreme Court four times. He has also provided insights on cases of significance as friend of court in all state appellate courts, in federal District Court and before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

He also advises healthcare clients on matters not involving litigation, including issues specific to healthcare associations, telemedicine, HIPAA compliance, peer review, medical staffing and patient care issues.

DuBeau is a frequent lecturer on a variety of issues specific to healthcare and advanced litigation techniques to the State Bar of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Medical Society and private groups.

Timothy J. Kamke is a shareholder in Reinhart’s Health Care Practice and a member of the Corporate Law Practice. His practice primarily focuses on agreement and buy-sell negotiations, health care businesses, closely held businesses, mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures.

Kamke serves clients in several areas, including business counseling, hospitals and health systems, long-term care facilities, closely held businesses and mid-sized business.

Skilled in corporate and regulatory compliance representation, Kamke has extensive experience and knowledge with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, networks, structuring relationships among owners, licensing, employment relationships (including non-compete issues), choice of entity, the Wisconsin Business Corporation Law, antitrust, anti-kickback statute, HIPAA and corporate governance.

Kamke is well-versed in all aspects of business and health care law, and he provides legal counsel to a broad range of stakeholders involved in many business sectors. He works closely with his clients as legal counsel, and also as a trusted business adviser.

Craig Kubiak is a partner at Amundsen Davis with 35 years of experience as an attorney. He has built a distinguished career in legal practice, most notably representing a local NFL team in arbitration before the Commissioner of Football on two separate occasions. One of those cases prompted the NFL to change the way it handled coaching contracts.

Beyond his legal career, Kubiak is actively involved in search and rescue work. Jeffrey E. Mark of von Briesen & Roper, s.c. is a shareholder in the Health and Business Sections. An attorney for 24 years, he has extensive experience advising hospitals, multi-institutional health care systems, physician groups and specialty providers regarding a variety of transactional health care related matters including affiliations, joint ventures, acquisitions and divestitures; fraud and abuse; physician agreements; and equipment and office space leasing arrangements.

Mark also assists religious orders and organizations with corporate and governance matters, health law and tax exemption issues.
