Gov. Tony Evers announced Tuesday that he is seeking applicants for the Milwaukee County Circuit Court Branches 14 and 46.

“The appointments will fill vacancies being created by Judge Christopher Foley’s resignation,” Evers said in a statement, noting that Judge David Feiss will also be resigning.

Foley’s resignation will be effective July 17, 2023, and Judge David Feiss’ resignation is effective July 29, 2023.

“The new judges will complete a term ending July 31, 2024,” Evers said.

Application instructions are as follows:

Please take note that applications must be submitted by 5 p.m. on April 12, 2023.

“Applicants need not apply for one vacancy or the other, all applicants will be considered for both appointments,” Evers said.

Applicants with questions about the judicial selection process may contact the Governor’s Office of Legal Counsel at (608) 266-1212.
