District Three Chief Judge Jennifer Dorow announced Friday the appointment of Judge William Domina as the presiding judge of Waukesha County. His appointment will go into effect August 1, coinciding with Dorow’s recent appointment as chair of the Committee of Chief Judges.

A University of Wisconsin Law School graduate, Domina has served Waukesha County since 2010. Prior to the circuit court, Domina served as the Milwaukee County corporation counsel under Scott Walker (then county executive), Waukesha County principal assistant corporation counsel and as a judicial clerk for the Wisconsin Court of Appeals in Districts I and II.

Domina has served on the Waukesha County School Board as well. In 2015, he was named Judge of the Year in 2015 by the State Bar for his work presiding over Waukesha County’s alcohol treatment court and establishing and presiding over Waukesha County’s drug treatment court.
