The University of Wisconsin-Madison awarded Angela Haugen and Kelly Hallmark 2022 University Staff Recognition awards. Haugen and Hallmark were among 10 selected across the university’s various campus departments. Both work close with the Law School and its students.
Haugen is an Economic Justice Institute legal associate. She received the recognition award for aiding in the changes to clinic programming at the Law School in 2021. Haugen reviewed administrative and clinical staff preferences to help shape and launch the new application and selection process of clinical law school programs and law student applications. She joined the Law School’s Office of Career and Professional Development team in 2014, moving to her legal associate role in 2015. She has degrees from St. Olaf College and Ohio State University.
Hallmark is a human resources generalist with the Law School. Her work is instrumental in securing funding for students assisting faculty members during summer research. During 2021, Hallmark worked to set up a Project Assistant Program for law students, helping them to find positions during the pandemic. With the Law School, she handles the payroll in addition to assisting with student employment. She joined the Law School in 2016 and is an Edgewood College graduate.
Haugen and Hallmark received their awards at the June University Staff Congress meeting.
University Staff Recognition awards are presented each year to those employees who are recognized for their outstanding achievements. The nominations are reviewed by a five-person committee, selecting 10 recipients.
