Milwaukee attorneys appointed to ABA Antitrust Section

Three attorneys from Foley & Lardner’s Milwaukee office have been newly appointed to leadership positions in the American Bar Association’s Section of Antitrust Law for the 2022-2023 term. Foley announced a total of five attorney appointments Thursday with three coming from the Milwaukee office and two from the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Elizabeth Haas

Elizabeth Haas will continue her service as the co-chair of the Committee Operations for the ABA’s Antitrust Law Section. A University of Michigan Law School graduate, Haas is chair of Foley’s Antitrust Practice Group. She is an active member of the Seventh Circuit Bar Association, the Association for Women Lawyers, Milwaukee Bar Association and serves on the Local Rules Committee for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin.

Kate Gehl

Kate Gehl will continue her service as vice-chair of the Intellectual Property Committee for the Antitrust Law Section. She is a senior counsel and member of Foley’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution and Antitrust Practice Group. Gehl graduated from the University of Minnesota Law School. Prior to joining Foley, she was a judicial clerk for Judge J.P. Stadtmueller of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, and worked as a law clerk for the U.S. Office of Special Counsel in Washington, D.C.

Ian Hampton

Ian Hampton has been appointed as the Young Lawyer Representative to the Long Range & Strategic Planning Committee. A senior counsel with Foley, he is a member of the firm’s Business Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group. While obtaining his degree from Duke University School of Law, Hampton served as a judicial extern for Judge Marilyn Huff, of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.

Attorneys Eli Evans and Richard Flannery of Foley’s Washington, D.C. office were appointed to Young Lawyer Representative positions.
