Attorney Mike Lappin is joining the senior leadership team at Network Health, the health insurer announced Wednesday. Lappin will serve as the chief legal and strategy officer starting July 1.

Lappin began his career with Quarles & Brady in 1993 where he practiced until moving to Aurora Health Care in 2009. At Aurora Health he served as chief legal officer and chief administrative officer, later transitioning into chief integration officer following Aurora and Advocate Health’s merger in 2018. In 2021, Lappin joined Foley & Lardner, practicing in the firm’s health care and transactions practice groups.

“Mike is the perfect addition to our leadership team,” said Coreen Dicus-Johnson, president and CEO of Network Health, in a statement. “I recruited him because he is a well-respected executive and will be instrumental in helping us ensure we remain a market leader by expanding our market presence and creating innovative products that enhance our members’ choices. Mike’s experience as a top executive and as a lawyer representing major clients in Wisconsin and nationally were significant considerations in our recruitment of him.”

Lappin holds degrees from Duke University (B.A.), University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Public Affairs (M.P.A.) and University of Wisconsin Law School (J.D.).
